During an inspection it was found that a caregiver was caring for children without a cleared background check. This was corrected when the caregiver left the operation. An administrative penalty will be imposed in the amount of 100% of the daily maximum per statute, HRC 42.078(a-2). A person cannot have access to the children in care before FBI fingerprint results have cleared. While results are pending a person may attend orientation and preserve training as long as they do not have contact with the children in care. Due to this deficiency the director of the operation cannot provide training to themselves or staff for two years preceding this administrative penalty.
