During this investigation, good judgment was not demonstrated when it was determined that a caregiver named in this report did restrain a child in care by their arms and allowed another child to hit him. *************** By the time of the investigation inspection, the caregiver had confessed this action to the director in charge and was terminated from their position. Proper discipline/guidance was observed during the inspection time and additional trainings have been completed by all staff.

Through review of video during the investigation inspection, it was determined that a caregiver pulled a three year old child up from a sitting to a standing position by holding the child's hand and pulling the child up which caused an injury to the child's elbow. During the interview process, the caregiver stated that they were trying to get the child to join the group on a rug that was in a different area of the classroom.
